The place has a nasty aroma to it. The machines are horrible. I guess they think three of a kind is a good hand all the time. That’s all you get three of a kind and two pair. Avoid the place.

I have been going to jackpot for about 10yrs. and recently one if the bartenders (neal) told me and my husband that he didn't want us on his shift,because of two of my friends gave me money about 6months ago and he felt that they should have given him what they tipped him and what they gave me. And the other bartender was cool up until my bday weekend, I heard him tell another bartender that he wasn't going to serve us and he didn't want us there. So we left and went to palace station and he sent another player that's his friend down to palace to tell us that if we come to jackpot joanies he's going to call the police on us. So we only go on Monday-Thursday on swing shift when Starr and Mary is there and I go on the day shift when Paul is there on Thursday. This is the only location I love to visit. But now these two bartenders are all about tips and they will be rude and make it uncomfortable for you if you're not tipping them how they think you should. They tell other players what you won and complain about the tip if they aren't satisfied with it.

Jackpot Joanie's is very similar to dottys. The Dotty's I usually go to only has machines at the bar. No free standing slots. Joanie's has more variety. It's a little bigger so they have a variety of machines. As well as game king machines. Buffalo, dragon link, lightning link, prosperity to name a few. Actually I think i named them all. I don't go there often but the bartenders I have met there are friendly and pleasant. Nice atmosphere another quiet place. Nice in contrast to the big casinos with all the loud tourists and loud music. Nice locals place.

Bartenders are all amazing. I feel like family and welcome here, not like Dotty's. I refuse to walk in to a Dotty's fifty feet from my house and will travel a mile to this place first, anyday, anytime! I love them so much!!!
