Yesterday I finally got to play some slots at The D Casino in downtown Las Vegas for the first time, and I really enjoyed it! While I didn't stay in a room there, I spent a good amount of time on the casino floor. I was immediately struck by how modern and well-maintained it is. I especially liked the darker, more intimate atmosphere – it felt sleek and stylish. The selection of games was great, with a good variety to choose from, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Plus, you can't beat the location! It's right in the heart of the Fremont Street Experience, so you're steps away from all the downtown action. If you're looking for a modern casino with a cool vibe and a fantastic location in downtown Vegas, The D is definitely worth checking out. I had a great time and would definitely play there again!

I booked a staycation here for one night. For $35 ($85 total with resort fees) I really liked this place. Checking in was easy, and they offered a free beer upon checkin. I declined but I still got tickets for a free cocktail in the lounge. Coffee stand right outside the elevators is amazing. If you need a bottle of water it's free at the bar if you show your room key. Also, for those looking for some naughty fun - The front desk told me I needed to add guests to my room if they are coming up - But anyone (even a Tinder date) can come up to the room easily and discreetly without a key card :) The bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot and perfect pressure. The ONLY potential gripe would be that my room was right next to the Fremont stage. A huge rugby event was going on, 14,000 screaming rugby players for hours - I thought there would be no way I could sleep with that. BUT the event was over by 10/11PM, and I was out of my room until 2AM so by the time I hit my pillow it was all quiet. I ate at Bacon Nation for breakfast and although it was a bit of a wait, the food was delicious! All in all a great night, I just need to get rid of my hangover today :)

**Hotel Stay Review – The D Hotel & Casino** I recently stayed at The D Hotel & Casino, and while my overall experience had its ups and downs, there were definitely some highlights worth mentioning. **Check-In Experience:** My check-in experience this time around was a complete 180 from my last stay. The gentleman working as the night auditor (I unfortunately didn’t catch his name) was incredibly informative and welcoming. He took the time to explain everything clearly, making me actually feel like a valued guest rather than a nuisance—which is exactly how I felt during my last check-in. His professionalism and kindness set a great tone for the start of my stay. **Housekeeping Service:** Mark, our housekeeper, was absolutely wonderful. He provided daily service and was incredibly patient with us. It’s rare to come across such a dedicated and understanding staff member, and I truly appreciated his efforts in making our stay comfortable. **Security Concerns:** Unfortunately, my experience with security left much to be desired. This is now the second time my boyfriend and I have checked into The D, only to be met with security attempting to remove us from the property—only changing their attitude once they confirmed we were guests. The way it played out felt like racial profiling, and it was an uncomfortable and unnecessary experience. As paying guests, we should not have to go through this kind of treatment upon arrival or during our stay. While there were definite positives—especially with the front desk and housekeeping staff—The D Hotel & Casino really needs to address how their security team interacts with guests. I would love to return because of the service I received from the night auditor and Mark, but I hope management takes a serious look at how their security team operates.

The front desk was very good checking in and out. The concierge was helpful in helping us buy tickets to a show, but the information he gave about the theater was completely wrong. He said that it was easy to move chairs for our wheelchair, but the chairs would not move at all. Just making stuff up. The service staff was efficient, but maids didn't speak English. The American Coney dog restaurant was very good, and the fitness center was real good. The coffee bar was good but expensive, and the casino was very very smoky. All in all it was an excellent day for the price.

Fremont is great. This place is loud and obnoxious. Or I'm just to old:) for it. Dancing dealers scantily clad on swing shift. I'd recommend stopping by however. Loved the horse racing upstairs and security is on point.
