As Las Vegas locals who walk the Strip almost daily, MGM Grand is one of our regular stops. It’s a classic for a reason—huge, lively, and packed with energy. Whether we’re passing through on a morning walk or stopping in during a live stream, there’s always something happening. The entrance near the Grand Garden Arena is a favorite for filming—it’s got great lighting and that iconic gold lion statue is pure Vegas. We love exploring the inside—it’s like a small city. There are tons of food options (we usually pop into the food court for a quick bite or head toward Hakkasan when we want a moodier vibe). The casino floor is massive, and the energy is strong no matter the time of day. It's also a great spot to people-watch or take a break from the sun while planning our next route. Tip from us: the MGM Grand can feel like a maze, so have your walking shoes ready. But it’s worth the steps! From the lazy river peeking through the gates to the shops and shows, it’s one of those properties that truly represents the scale and spectacle of Las Vegas. Whether you’re a tourist or a local walker like us, MGM Grand is always worth the visit.

MGM Grand Las Vegas is a fantastic destination for anyone looking to experience the best of the Strip. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted by luxury and excitement. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with modern amenities that make your stay feel top-notch. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the views of the city were amazing. The pool area is gorgeous, perfect for relaxing during the day, and the fitness center is fully equipped for those who want to stay active. Dining options at MGM are plentiful, offering everything from casual eateries to fine dining—each meal was a delight!

As a pearl status rewards member, I originally had a comped night for a basic 2 queen beds, but when I checked-in, the front desk offered an upgrade to an executive suite for only an extra $80 (not including resort fees and taxes). We took the upgrade for the executive suite because of the great deal, since the actual value of the suite was more than double. In addition, we arrived around 2-2:30 and were able to check-in beforehand without issues or having to pay an extra fee, which we greatly appreciated! The suite was located in the grand tower and close to the elevators. It was very spacious upon first impressions. The beds were extremely comfortable (the most comfy on our trip that included a couple visits to other properties), and the bathroom was large and clean. The room, however, was a bit on the worn side (especially around the lounge area), and there was a bag of blackberries left behind on top of the mini-fridge. I understand though that MGM Grand is one of the busiest properties on the strip, so I did not expect the room to be perfect. It was still a great room to stay in for the night, and if I had the option, I wouldn’t have issues staying for another couple days. Even though it was for one night, I still had a pleasant stay here. Would definitely give it 5 stars if the suite was in better condition, but it was still more spacious and clean than the other places I’ve stayed on this trip!

Trying to maximize profit by minimizing employees and jacking up costs. It took 45 minutes to check in. There were three people helping customers, but only two employees who could check people in. It was a very slow check process. When I left, the bag check area had hundreds of people waiting in line. I went to the pool, the entire lazy river area was closed at 2 PM on a Thursday. There was not an available chair anywhere in the pool area. We have bottles of water that look free, but they will charge you. The price is not listed anywhere. Room service could have cleaned better before I arrived, but the person who came to clean my room during my stay did an excellent job. The restaurants are terrible with long wait times. It was a fairly expensive hotel too. I would definitely stay somewhere else next time.

We had our 8 month old with us. Of course he is going to find anything on the floor. We stayed 4 days 5 nights. Location worked for us and staff was friendly. Our room however.....we found a ear plug by the bedside table. A earring back (I don't wear earrings) and then 3 black screws in the corner. Didn't seem like room was vacuumed very well if at all. On night one half the power was out in our room....I noticed when t.v. wouldn't turn on....we had stuff in the fridge and don't know how long power was out. They had it restored within 20 min of me calling the front desk. Hubby grabbed a new towel and found a big brown stain on the back. We were told it was a newly renovated room and it looked nice. But the floor grossed me out. Be ready for the expensive resort fees and parking garage fees.
